Abroad and within Poland

When you buy a dog from another country, it helps to know in advance when it can travel, which documents it must have and who will bring it. Below is the whole process — from the microchip to the handover at your address.

15weeks — the standard point at which a puppy meets the EU immunity rule after its first rabies vaccination.

Where 15 weeks comes from

The countdown starts with the microchip

  1. 0–8week

    Puppies stay with the dam. Deworming every two to three weeks, first health checks.

  2. 8week

    Vaccinations, microchip, health record. The puppy may go home within Poland.

  3. 12week

    The earliest date for the rabies vaccination. A dose given earlier does not count.

  4. 15week

    The 21-day waiting period ends. The puppy now meets the standard rule for travel to another EU country.

Five deadlines that set the date

The 48-hour window is what most often moves a departure, so we set the date only once the official examination is confirmed.

  • Preparing the dog: vaccinations, deworming, microchip, health record.
  • EU pet passport, health certificate and TRACES notification.
  • Checking the destination country's requirements before a date is set.
  • Finding a carrier and handing the dog over with a complete set of documents.

On the carrier's side

  • Route, means of transport and schedule of stops.
  • Transport conditions and care of the dog on the way.
  • Contact with you during the journey and the time of handover.
  • The transport fee, which forms part of the delivery quote.

We do not run our own transport, so we make no statements about transport conditions on the carrier's behalf. We propose the company and agree it with you before departure — together with the route, the means of transport and how you will be kept informed on the way.

Write to us

The dates follow EU rules on the movement of dogs, cats and ferrets. Some countries allow exceptions for younger animals; we do not treat them as the standard delivery date. Before every departure we verify the destination country's requirements with an official veterinarian.
